Dear Dr. Miller,
I am a high school student who is interested in you field of psychology. In my Advanced Placement Biology class we were asked to do a research paper on a scientist. I thought that your work was interesting and I choose you. I was writing you to find out more about your history. There are plenty of sources to research your work but I am also curious about your backround. Things like where you grew up. What was your childhood like? What made you decide to go into child psychology? If you could write me back that would be great! Also if you could somewhat summarize what you are trying to do with child psychology and your goals I would be greatly appriciated. Anything your could tell me that would help me write this research paper would be fantastic.

Sincerely,
N. M.

You can find information about Alice Miller’s childhood in her books “Breaking Down The Wall Of Silence” and “The Body Never Lies”. She is not a child psychologist, she is a researcher on childhood and its effects on the adult.
