Thank You Letter
Saturday August 18, 2007
Dear Dr. Miller:
I have been on the English-language forum for three years. I have learned a lot there and from your books.
Your work and the forum have been a huge help to me in my therapy, especially as an additional means and pathway to my own continued honesty. Since too many times I just want to run and hide from the truth.
For me, my therapy seems to be working, and I have a little more space for myself every few months.
The internal war is tiring, and the constant tug-of-war feels like hell, although I have noticed that as I accept the truth and do more for myself the war narrows. Its like I am containing the battlefields one by one…
At any rate, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your bravery, courage and honesty are an inspiration to me.
Your thoughts and words have been like a gift, one of the most beautiful and helpful gifts I have ever received.
I would just like to add as a footnote that I read the letter where you wrote that you saw yourself not as a guru, but as a sister in the struggle, and comment that I found that hugely comforting and impressive.
Thank you so much for everything you have done and continue to do.
With Warmest Wishes, A.
AM: Thank you warmly for your letter. I read some of your postings on the int. forum and have been always most impressed by the clarity of your writing, your emotional honesty, your courage and your full determination to find your story. I wish you much luck and am sure that you will find what you are looking for; I have no doubt about it.
