My painting
Wednesday August 16, 2006
Dear Alice Miller,
I have your book of portraits from childhood and found it very moving. I am a mature student studying fine art and wondered if you could tell me of any other artists who have tried to deal with the same issues as you have in your work. I am also planning on painting or creating sculpture from my experiences of childhood and would welcome any feedback you could offer.
Thank you, T. N.
AM: My experience was that I had no special programs or intention. I just enjoyed playing with colors and the liberty of doing what I wanted, and what came out was my childhood, my suffering of being alone and never understood. I don’t know of other painters who would tell me the same story.
